Wanderlust Nz Hostel - Tauranga

My partner and I had a great stay at Wanderlust. the location was fantastic, with stunning views from the rooftop terrace overlooking the waterfront. the shared facilities, including the kitchen and lounge, were well-maintained and stylish. Our en suite room, although small, was well-appointed and provided privacy. the staff, particularly the woman on reception, were kind and helpful, offering recommendations and being always available.

Cons: Nothing to fault here!

We had a great experience at the backpack, staying for 4 nights. the single staff member we interacted with was friendly and extremely helpful. the beds and pillows were super comfortable, and the place was very clean. the location was excellent, and we especially loved the cosy room with a nice big window and vibrant, airy walls.

Great hospitality in the heart of the city's hospitality quarter. Charming hostel in an older building that has been modernised. Fantastic balcony view overlooking the harbour and inlet. Shared kitchens and comfy couches in each lounge. Family-friendly atmosphere. Close proximity to the bus stop and airport.

The old metal bunks in the dorm room were extremely squeaky and uncomfortable. Poor mattress quality resulted in a bad sleep experience.

Mind-blowing location in the heart of the city, with a jaw-dropping terrace overlooking the water. Comfy room with a convenient sink, and friendly staff at check-in/check-out. The shared kitchen is massive, and the daily cleaning service is a nice touch. Free wi-fi, awesome leisure/TV room, lift, board games, locker room. Would definitely come back!

I had a great experience staying at this hostel in Tauranga. The location was perfect, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hostel had a relaxed and beachy vibe. The rooms were comfortable, with cozy beds and clean bathrooms. The highlight for me was the amazing balcony, where I enjoyed breakfast and dinner with a stunning view. it was a fantastic stay.

One small negative aspect was that the kitchen floor was a bit sticky, which wasn't ideal.

Friendly staff, clean communal areas, large kitchen with new appliances, spacious rooms with some en-suite options, ample storage for food.

I had an amazing stay at a charming hostel in the heart of the city. The harbor view from my room was amazing and the newly renovated interior had a quirky character that I loved. The bed and pillows were comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The staff, especially Renee, were friendly and provided helpful tips for exploring the area. I can't wait to return during the Christmas season.

had a fabulous stay at a peaceful break in Tauranga. Wanderlust Nz exceeded expectations with lovely staff, fresh rooms, reliable wifi, and a prime location. Loved the fantastic kitchen, outdoor balcony, and comfortable bedding. It was one of the best stays in NZ! Cheers to the great team!

Noisy guests at 3am woke everyone up.

The room I stayed in was well presented and clean, making me feel comfortable throughout my stay. The location of the hostel was also very convenient, with great views from the upstairs deck. The staff were friendly and helpful, making my stay more fun. The kitchen area was clean and spacious, and there was ample space in the fridge for my food. I highly recommend Wanderlust Nz for its excellent service, cleanliness, and convenient location.

The dorm room amenities were lacking. There were no individual lights or power points for each bed, which was inconvenient.

I recently stayed at Wanderlust in Tauranga for a weekend getaway. The staff was incredibly friendly, always available, and provided excellent recommendations. The hostel was impressively clean, including the tidy bathrooms and communal areas. Our double room was perfect, with enough space to store our bags and a comfortable bed. The location was amazing, with beautiful views and easy access to transportation. it was a fantastic experience.

bathrooms could have been cleaner

Stayed in a historical building with a flashy balcony and speedy internet. Loved buying a USB light and charging my electronic devices on the luxurious mattresses. So posh!

Oh, just couldn't stand the inconvenience of living on a separate floor from existing guests. So annoying!
